Title: Deela (2003)
Artist's Notes: Pen and ink on illustration board, painted in Adobe Photoshop. This is an artwork which I feel reflects my current drawing and painting skills. It is the style I now prefer drawing in, though it's very time consuming as you can imagine. While this illustration does contain wit and conveys a clear story (or political message), I hope no one would label it as a cartoon, but rather as stand-alone illustrative art. Through my ongoing work, this sample of art particularily defines who I am as an artist as it contains all the crucial elements of my personality & style rolled into it.
